In May 2021, over 50 people representing a cross-section of our community were asked to serve on a Facility Advisory Committee. This committee met throughout the summer and completed these tasks:
- toured campuses,
- reviewed facility assessments,
- studied campus capacity and enrollment,
- learned about the District’s academic and extracurricular programs.
The committee prioritized potential improvement projects and reached consensus on recommendation to the Board. Based on this recommendation, the CISD Board of Trustees unanimously called for a November 2, 2021 bond election for $68 million.
